“Welcome To PIP General Land”
These here decals are base on the first season Dodge Charger’s
General Lee’s uniform that the series chargers displayed on screen.
These decals are water slide decals. Accurate down to the detail in
the decals. It depends on what decal package you get as for the detail
in the decals in that package. Lee1, Lee2 & Lee3 packages very from
one another. It depends on the package you are looking for as to
what version your building in scale form.
Now a little info fact base on the cars to the decals.
Each car and decals are slightly different.
Lee1 is the first Charger “used” for filming the series and also is the
only chrome rocker charger seen on screen with them being chrome
and in the opening credits doing the famous
jump over Rosco and totaled itself out on landing (Saturday 1978).
(There was other chrome rocker chargers used on the series but they
was painted over orange though BUT for LEE1!) His numbers was
different then as the “0” on the driver side was straight while
the “1” followed the door top ledge making it tilt forward toward
the “0” plus the spacing was different.
Then Lee1 came back as the Richard Petty race car “71” in the 4th episode.
Lee2 was the stunt car used for doing the jump down Elm Street for
the opening of the first episode of the series just after the patrol
car did the jump. Which if you think bout it would have been the
first jump as while (Wednesday 1978) . This car also had
a gap in the white border of the “0” on the driver side door.
But the car was repaired and was sent back into action.
Lee3 is the FIRST car built up in CA and did all the promos with
the missing door numbers not on the car. Then just after
had all his decals “painted” on and sent to GA for filming.
But was the third car walked up to be to labeled though for filming
how ever though hence the term “Lee3”. Then was taken back to
CA where in the episode “The Meeting” during the second jump
over a black limo where the charger came to an end at.
